Textile Design
Céline Gisèle Bruner is a Senior Textile Designer, Founder, and Creative Consultant working internationally between the United States and the United Kingdom. Originally from London, she holds a BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles and Surface Decoration from the University of East London and relocated to New York in 2007 to pursue her career in textile design.
With over two decades of industry experience, Céline creates distinctive prints, patterns, and surface designs across fashion, interiors, and lifestyle. Her work blends hand-drawn artistry, painting, and expressive mark-making with thoughtful research and storytelling, resulting in designs that feel elevated, timeless, and commercially relevant.
With a foundation in fine art and textile print studios, Céline has a deep-rooted passion for mark-making, painting, and textural techniques. Beginning her career creating original artworks by hand, she developed a strong instinct for print- refining an eye for designs that not only resonate visually, but also perform commercially. This balance of artistry and strategy continues to define her approach.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with global brands including Anthropologie, Lulu & Georgia, Waterworks, Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Armani, Oscar de la Renta, Tommy Hilfiger, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Kohl’s. Through her studio, Céline Gisèle Textile Design (UKSA Inc.), she partners with brands to develop original artwork, concept boards, murals, wallpapers, rugs, and full print collections across multiple categories.
Known for combining artistic intuition with strong commercial understanding, Céline works closely with design teams to translate ideas into refined, market-ready collections. Clients rely on her not only for original artwork, but also for creative direction, concept development, and thoughtful collaboration throughout the design process.
Céline is also an advocate for thoughtfully integrating AI into the design process. She uses emerging tools as a way to enhance speed, exploration, and efficiency- while maintaining the integrity of her hand-drawn work and artistic point of view. For her, technology is not a replacement for creativity, but a tool to expand it- allowing for faster development without losing the nuance and individuality of the artwork.
Alongside her design practice, Céline serves as a consultant and expert witness in copyright and design infringement cases, providing visual analysis, research, and industry expertise for legal teams and courts.
